I know that when I grasp for an experience to be a certain way or modify my surroundings in order to change an inner state, I almost certainly will suffer. Whether I disguise it as self improvement or dress it in spiritual clothes, the dynamic is the same: Every time I grasp, I constrict life flow. I deny (subtly or grossly) what is present. I lean away. I lean away from the place(s) where I can experience a deeper connection with Who I Am.
Resonance
The dance fortifies my spirit in a way that no other practice can by strengthening my capacity to stand in the center of my experience, just as it is, and from this place of immediate and unfiltered "into-me-see", encounter a level of resonance with "other" that is beyond anything I can imagine on my own.
Sim·plic·i·ty
We are each artists. The canvas is our lives. As we create experience upon experience, how often do we allow the plain and ordinary aspects of simplicity to inform us? How often do we take a journey toward the kind of ease and naturalness that is not bound in time? How much freedom do we offer ourselves to move back and forth between simplicity and complexity, to allow the two seemingly opposite poles to infuse our movement and our lives with greater depth, color, and potency?
Summer Solstice - Longing to Create
When I entered this Solstice of exquisite expansion, I prayed for courage of heart...to walk through the FIRE of this human experience and LOVE with clarity and coherence...to stand in the FIRE of my SOUL and transform illusion into gold, fear into trust, desire into creation.
I knew this was a big prayer. A prayer that would require me to call on all of my resources. To reconcile my humanity. To Breathe. To Move. To stay ROOTED in my body. To BE a human BE-ing, fully engaged and creating with the Wholeness of My Life.
Finding Peace through Movement
Movement, for me, is an act of creating and sustaining inner peace. I root to rise, centering into the wisdom of my body, a consistently safe and peaceful haven, and from this place open to other(s), noting and celebrating each interaction as a opportunity to dance our shared dance and discover the inner peace in our hearts while exploring ways to dynamically express and create peace in the world.
