About the 5Rhythms
Many people enter the world of conscious dance through the iconic 5R “map”. Created by Gabrielle Roth and enjoyed by countless bodies across the globe, the practice of 5R helps us know ourselves more fully. When we place our attention on our feet, we flow in tune with the Earth. As we move up and into our hips, we commit to the beat of the breath. Allowing our heads to let go, we gently surrender to what is here…now. With presence, our hands curiously explore the mysterious nature of what our bodies can do. In stillness, we move and breath…are moved and breathed.
About Ajay
Ajay Rajani is an accredited 5Rhythms teacher who trained with Jonathan Horan, son of Gabrielle Roth, in 2014. Born in Africa with Indian roots and raised in London, Ajay thrives in a diverse, multicultural community speaking five international languages. His spiritual journey began over a decade ago with a strong practice of seated meditation which continues to inform his teachings. He is an inspiring teacher who encourages movers to embody each moment, allowing the body to be our greatest teacher.

GRATITUDE
MANY thanks to everyone who sent venue suggestions for this special event!
It’s great to know we'll be dancing together soon, and to feel the weave of community contributing to the foundation of this dance. Additional thanks to Koreen Valdovinos, our host at A-Mill who, as a resident of the Artist Lofts, has made this space available for not just 1, but 2 nights of dancing!
It's a lovely space, with great character and acoustics!
I look forward to welcoming you onto the floor!
